Fuso launches new 6×4 truck tractor

Fuso Trucks, a brand of Daimler Truck Southern Africa, has launched its all-new Fuso TV33-400S 6×4 truck tractor.

Manufactured in East London, the new truck tractor is robust, powerful, and built with a strong focus on safety, driver comfort, fuel efficiency, and productivity.

One of the prime considerations in the all-new TV33-400S is maximum torque from low rpm, providing the right power and control to pull goods from a standstill. Simultaneously providing the driver with enough torque to maintain actual speed and optimised vehicle acceleration, this all contributes to major fuel savings.

The new 6×4 truck tractor also comes standard with an automated manual transmission, a forward-thinking feature that continues to set a high bar in the industry, thanks to its positive impact on fuel consumption, vehicle performance, safety, and driver comfort.

Improved driveability in the new TV33-400S 6×4 model is further facilitated by an improved cruise control system and a speed limiter. These allow the driver to maintain a constant, fuel-saving speed, as well as reducing driver fatigue and accidents, especially during open highway driving.

The all-new 6×4 truck tractor also provides business operators with greater peace of mind: the vehicle is built on a heavy-duty hub reduction rear axle with a differential lock capable of handling any task thrown at it to meet a variety of business needs.

Fuso Trucks has made no compromises when it comes to standard safety features in the TV33-400S 6×4 model. The truck is fully equipped with an ABS air brake system and auxiliary exhaust brake. Safety is further enhanced through the cab design, which complies with the most stringent ECE R29 version cab strength regulations. These regulations involve two cab tests (front impact, static roof strength) as well as an optional impact test on the cab’s rear wall.

The new truck tractor offers outstanding fuel consumption through its aerodynamic cab design, which aims to minimise air drag. Visibility has been enhanced thanks to the distinctive dual chamber headlamp with LED daytime running lights, which increase road presence and improve safety.

A further improvement on the truck is the electrical cab tilt, which provides effortless operation. All inspection and maintenance points are easy to find and access, thanks to the front service flap, which ensures the vehicle is in optimal operating condition and is kept on the road where it belongs.

Furthermore, a lot of attention to detail went into the vehicle’s sleeper cab, which has been designed to make drivers feel at home while on the road, reduce driver fatigue, and maximise productivity.

Competitive service intervals and warranties include an engine oil change at 50 000 km or 1 000 hours, coolant change at 100 000 km or 12 months, transmission oil change at 150 000 km, differential oil change at 150 000 km, and a warranty of four years or 300 000 km.
