Stig Hoffner works at Luossavaara-Kiirunavaara Aktiebolag (LKAB), a state-owned Swedish mining company. The company mines iron ore at Kiruna and Malmberget in northern Sweden. Hoffner loves his job so much that he doesn’t want to retire. Why? Because he gets to drive Scania’s electric truck every day. Since late 2022, LKAB has used the truck at the company’s iron ore mine in Malmberget. The Scania 25P XT all-electric heavy tipper can carry 49 tonnes of load and transports residual products. Watch The Stig (sorry, we couldn’t resist that) and his truck in action here!
