Tracker partners with Geotab to enhance fleet services offering

Tracker has partnered with Geotab โ€“ a global provider of connected operations, video telematics and AI-powered fleet insights โ€“ to strengthen its business services offering through integrated telematics solutions for fleet operators.

The partnership combines Trackerโ€™s local expertise in vehicle tracking, recovery and fleet management with Geotabโ€™s internationally recognised telematics platform, data intelligence capabilities and open ecosystem.

Focus on connected fleet intelligence

Geotab was recently ranked the number one global commercial telematics vendor by ABI Research. The company supports organisations across multiple continents with data-driven solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency, safety and sustainability. Its open platform processes more than 100 billion data points daily, enabling fleet operators to make more informed decisions through advanced analytics, reporting and system integrations.

The partnership enables Tracker to offer a flexible combination of technologies by integrating its existing solutions with Geotabโ€™s GO devices on a device-agnostic platform designed to support varying fleet requirements.

Expanding fleet management capabilities

Tracker Elevate is the companyโ€™s premium connected fleet intelligence platform, providing near real-time vehicle visibility, advanced analytics and operational insights.

The platform includes vehicle diagnostics, driver risk modelling, AI-powered insights and integration capabilities aimed at improving fleet safety, vehicle utilisation, fuel management, preventative maintenance planning and operational efficiency across complex fleet environments.

Tracker Ascend has been developed for growing businesses that require more than basic vehicle tracking functionality. The platform provides fleet visibility, driver behaviour insights and operational reporting through a web- and app-based interface.

The solution is intended to support improved accountability, productivity and cost management by giving operators greater visibility into vehicle activity, driver performance and fleet utilisation, while allowing the system to scale alongside changing operational requirements.

Addressing industry challenges

Silvia Schollenberger, chief commercial officer at Tracker, says the partnership reflects the companyโ€™s ongoing focus on strengthening value for customers operating in increasingly demanding environments.

โ€œRobust fleet management platforms and technology help businesses navigate some of the key challenges they face today, including driver safety and management, rising operational costs and risk, regulatory compliance, as well as sustainability and efficiency,โ€ she says. โ€œBy aligning with a global telematics leader such as Geotab, we are reinforcing our ability to deliver reliable, data-led solutions that meet the evolving needs of fleet customers.โ€

Ivan Lequerica, vice president for EMEA at Geotab, says Trackerโ€™s established presence in South Africa and operational expertise make the company a strong regional partner. โ€œThrough this partnership, customers will gain access to Geotabโ€™s AI-driven products and solutions, helping to support smarter and more efficient fleet operations,โ€ he expands.
