Sinotruk shines at Canton Fair

Phase 1 of the 135th China Import and Export Fair – known as the Canton Fair – saw Sinotruk dazzle local and international visitors to the world class Pazhou Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, China from 15 to 19 April.

Under the theme of “targeting high-quality development and advancing high-level opening up”, the hugely successful 135th Canton Fair was held in three Phases between 15 April and 5 May, with 55 exhibition sections across a sprawling 1.55 million square metres of exhibition space. The 2024 Canton Fair housed 29,000 exhibitors, including 680 international enterprises from 50 countries and regions around the world.

The first phase of the fair was focused on “Advanced Manufacturing”. Sinotruk exhibited in three sections: the outdoor vehicle section, the indoor parts section, and the new energy and smart mobility section. The Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer’s displays attracted significant attention at all three stands, with staff on hand to talk visitors through the different offerings on show.

Introducing the HOWO MAX 6×4

From the moment the new HOWO MAX 6×4 truck tractor was unveiled at the 2024 Canton Fair, it caused excitement amongst the crowd, with guests flocking to the Outdoor Vehicle Section to see this new model up close and personal. The HOWO MAX 6×4 was unquestionably the star of the stand, and visitors did not leave disappointed; the truck’s upgraded exterior and interior drew many compliments, with attendees given the chance to examine the truck and climb inside the cab to fully appreciate the various improvements. Guests were also very impressed by the HOWO MAX’s fuel economy and various options and refinements that contribute to a pleasant driving experience.

The HOWO-TX BEV: a striking new energy vehicle

In the new energy vehicle section, Sinotruk was proud to have the battery electric vehicle (BEV) HOWO-TX 6×4 tractor on display. The truck’s bold blue paintwork caught the eye of attendees, drawing admiring looks from all over the exhibition hall.

Drawn in by the truck’s striking appearance, visitors – including a wide array of international delegates – walked away profoundly impressed, and the Sinotruk staff on the stand were kept busy discussing the BEV HOWO-TX’s technical specifications and advanced technologies.

Sinotruk Parts Section offers excellent learning opportunities

Sinotruk’s parts stand was the largest of its three exhibition areas, with approximately 100 original parts and components on display. A variety of engines, transmissions, axles, and other important components from the manufacturer’s commercial vehicle range provided an excellent opportunity for overseas customers to become better acquainted with the nuts and bolts of Sinotruk’s operations. Sinotruk’s enthusiastic staff were never far away, giving attendees the chance to really get to know the Sinotruk product offering and understand the advantages to be gained from Sinotruk vehicles.

Looking ahead

With this year’s Canton Fair now a thing of the past, Sinotruk was delighted with the impressions gained at the event and the connections made with potential new customers. The manufacturer is looking forward to future events where it can reveal the best of its product offerings to a wider audience and continue to expand its customer base around the world, including in South Africa, where the heavy Sinotruk Sitrak is already a quality offering to the local commercial vehicle market.
