No “ho, ho ho”: Coca-Cola cancels Christmas Truck Tour

For the first time ever, Coca‑Cola has cancelled its popular Christmas Truck Tour.

This is disappointing – but completely understandable – news for lots of people, for whom the Truck Tour marks a fun, festive moment to get together over the Christmas period.

A statement by the company has explained that, throughout the pandemic, its main priority has been to support its people, partners and communities. “That’s why, when lockdown began, we decided to pause all our marketing globally and focus our resources on relief efforts around the world.

“This included the Coca‑Cola Foundation, The Coca‑Cola Company and our bottling partners donating over $100 million to support the global Covid-19 response. Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who’s provided support throughout the pandemic, and we’ll continue to support our people, partners and communities through this challenging time.

“Whilst we won’t see you at the Coca‑Cola Christmas Truck Tour this year, Coca‑Cola continues to be synonymous with Christmas, and we’ll continue to share magical moments with you throughout the festive season with more detail to come soon.

“And, rest assured, our iconic Coca‑Cola Christmas Truck Tour will be back next year – and we look forward to seeing you there!” the statement concludes.
