Clark introduces new electric pallet trucks

Clark has expanded its electric pallet truck range with the introduction of four new models designed for pedestrian operation.

These new trucks, from the WS and SWX series, have load capacities ranging from 1.2 to 1.6 tonnes, making them ideal for various logistical tasks. Compact and highly manoeuvrable, they are particularly suited for transporting goods over short distances, navigating tight aisles, and loading and unloading trucks.

Equipped with a stable four-point support system, these high-lift pallet trucks can maintain high residual load capacities, even at maximum lifting heights. Whether users require pedestrian pallet trucks for shorter tasks or stackers with a driver’s platform for longer distances, Clark now offers a model to suit almost any application.

To ensure operators can work comfortably and without fatigue, all control elements are conveniently located in the ergonomic tiller. These controls are designed for use by both right- and left-handed operators, offering ease of operation. The tiller’s design also provides the operator with an optimal view of the forks, ensuring loads can be stored or retrieved quickly and safely in narrow spaces.

Numerous safety features further enhance the trucks’ appeal. For instance, the travel speed automatically reduces as the load is lifted to ensure stability, while the rounded vehicle contours minimise potential danger points. The four-point support system further enhances stability during operation, while the safety tiller, located at the lower left of the vehicle, keeps a safe distance between operator and machine.

WS: ideal for light warehouse tasks

The WS series is designed for light and occasional use, with a maximum travel speed of 4km/h. This range includes the WS12, WS12M, and WS10Mi models, perfect for simple logistics tasks. Their compact design combined with a small front-end dimension makes them highly agile, allowing them to be easily manoeuvred in confined spaces.

The WS12, with a load capacity of 1,200kg and a lifting height of 4,100mm, is a versatile option for transporting goods over short distances and for light tasks that require higher storage. It can also be used as a mobile worktable, making it ideal for preparing goods for dispatch or organising components in a workshop.

The WS12M offers similar capabilities but is equipped with a mono mast, giving it a lifting height of 1,950mm and excellent visibility for load handling. The WS10Mi, meanwhile, offers an initial lift feature for additional ground clearance, making it suitable for navigating ramps, thresholds, and loading bridges.

Powerful SWX all-rounders

The SWX series of high-lift pallet trucks offers powerful and reliable performance, designed to meet the needs of more intensive warehouse tasks. This range includes the SWX12, SWX16, and SWX16i models, all of which feature maintenance-free AC drive technology for maximum efficiency. With a travel speed of 5.5km/h, these trucks boast high lifting and lowering speeds for improved handling performance.

The SWX12, with a 1,200-kg load capacity and a maximum lifting height of 4,800mm, is ideal for demanding logistics tasks. It comes with a 100-Ah Li-ion battery, ensuring high availability and quick recharging without reducing the battery’s service life.

For more intensive applications, the SWX16 can handle loads of up to 1,600kg and reach lifting heights of 5,500mm. It also offers the option of a powerful 205-Ah Li-ion battery, which can be charged externally without affecting its longevity. If availability is less of a priority, this model can also be equipped with a 225-Ah lead-acid battery.

Finally, the SWX16i, with its initial lift feature, is perfect for overcoming uneven surfaces and allows double-decker operation, enabling two pallets to be moved simultaneously. This feature speeds up handling processes, reducing travel times and enhancing productivity.
