Amarok – A business force to be reckoned with

Extreme terrain, heavy loads and demanding operations require vehicles built for the job. The Volkswagen Amarok range combines rugged capability with everyday refinement, offering South African businesses a dependable commercial partner.

Extreme heat, unpredictable terrain, long distances and job sites far beyond tarred roads… the Amarok range offers solutions tailored to real commercial needs and is designed to be a dependable commercial partner that’s tough where it matters and refined where it counts.

A dependable partner from first load to final delivery

At the foundation of the range is the purpose-built Amarok single cab, a robust load carrier for businesses ranging from small enterprises to contractors and large operators. Powered by a capable 2.0 TDI engine available in 2WD and 4MOTION AWD, this workhorse comes equipped with a rear locking differential, trailer hitch, 17-inch Combra alloy wheels and climatic air conditioning. It delivers impressive payload capacity and durability without compromising safety and comfort.

Performance where it matters

For fleets requiring broader application, the Amarok double cab range offers enhanced driver assistance systems, intelligent safety technologies and refined ergonomics.

Four engine options are included in the double cab range. The 2.0 TDI is available in the base and Life specifications, while the 2.0 BiTDI is offered in the Life, Style and PanAmericana trim levels. The 3.0 TDI V6 is available in the Style, PanAmericana and flagship Aventura derivatives. The new 2.3 TSI motor is exclusive to the PanAmericana trim level, making it the fastest bakkie in the Amarok line-up.

Features such as its 800mm wading depth and crosswind assist, coupled with advanced off-road systems, give the Amarok stability in demanding operating conditions, whether on or off road.

This balance of toughness, refinement and uncompromising capability makes the Amarok equally suited to construction sites, agricultural operations, tourism fleets and executive transport in remote regions.

A force for good

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ support of the Wilderness Foundation Africa through the Forever Wild Rhino Protection Initiative has seen Volkswagen Amarok vehicles travel more than 2.7 million kilometres in support of conservation activities, providing not just transport but an operational lifeline.

Working in challenging off-road conditions, Amarok vehicles have demonstrated durability and composure across varied landscapes, reinforcing their suitability for mission-critical applications.

Shaped by the forces of nature, defined by the forces of business

Across the Amarok range, from the purpose-built single cab to the versatile double cab derivatives, every detail reflects an understanding of real-world demands.

The Amarok has been developed to withstand the forces that shape South African enterprise, from environmental extremes to operational demands. Whether as a hard-working single cab built to carry the load of a growing business, or as a refined yet uncompromising double cab supporting diverse fleet applications, Amarok delivers capability without hesitation.

If your fleet is built to move industries forward, it deserves a vehicle engineered with the same intent. Discover the full Amarok range and explore its capabilities at vw.co.za.
