Revealed: the official truck supplier to MotoGP
IVECO has announced the renewal of its partnership with MotoGP, the world’s biggest motorcycle racing championship. It has concluded a four-year agreement with Dorna Sports, commercial rights holder and organiser of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship (MotoGP) since 1991.
Confirming once again its strong ties with the world of motorsport, nearly 10 years after the start of its previous sponsorship, IVECO will act as MotoGP Truck Supplier, providing 14 IVECO vehicles to ensure the transport of hospitality materials to MotoGP events from 2023 to 2026.
“We are proud to support such an outstanding competition where leading-edge technology blends with unrivalled bravery and the courage to push beyond the limits,” says Luca Sra, president of the Truck Business Unit at the Iveco Group. “This sponsorship reflects the same energy underlying IVECO’s commitment to creating the best solutions to our customers’ needs and the fighting passion that drives us to strive for excellence every day.”
The new season – with a total of 21 Grands Prix taking place across 18 different countries – started on Sunday, 26 March at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao, Portugal, and will culminate in November at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain. IVECO will provide support throughout this MotoGP season with 13 IVECO S-Way trucks – the flagship model in the brand’s heavy range line-up – and one Daily, its iconic light commercial vehicle. Reliable, safe, and robust, the IVECO trucks will be responsible for the transport of race materials and equipment on the routes connecting the circuits, contributing to the set-up that will host guests and fans. The vehicles will be customised with the MotoGP and IVECO logos, with a special white livery designed to reflect a strong racing style typical of motorsport.
IVECO is also Repsol Honda Team Official Sponsor and Official Mooney VR46 Racing Team Tractor Unit Supplier, supporting the teams’ logistics for the transport of the riders’ equipment to the MotoGP races held in Europe with its IVECO S-Way trucks.
