Commercial vehicles for everyone!

Commercial vehicles for everyone!

JAC Motors entered the local market in 2017 and has since expanded to over 70 dealerships across Southern Africa. With a growing product line-up, the brand now offers a versatile range of light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles (CVs), catering to a wide range of transport needs.

A key player in the global truck market, JAC Motors began manufacturing trucks in 1964. Over the past decade, the company has refined its N-Truck range to deliver superior performance, lower operating costs, and enhanced driver safety. Its 20-year partnership with Cummins has been instrumental in driving innovation, while in 2014, the company took a significant step towards sustainability by introducing battery-electric trucks, reinforcing its vision for a zero-emission future.

JAC Motors launched its first battery-electric truck locally in June 2021 and now leads the market with the N75 EV four-tonne truck. Major fleet operators such as Takealot, DSV, Eskom, Interwaste, DP World, and Blue Ribbon Bakery have embraced this green energy solution while benefiting from the electric vehicle’s (EV’s) enhanced driver environment. JAC Motors’ EVs offer up to 50% fuel savings and 70% lower maintenance costs, reshaping the future of fleet mobility.

Introducing the new X200 EV

The new X200 EV 1.9-tonne forward-cab is a game changer in modern transport and logistics. Designed for fleet modernisation, it enhances efficiency while significantly reducing operating costs. Its advanced electric propulsion system ensures zero emissions, instant torque, and unmatched reliability, making it the perfect solution for last-mile urban deliveries. Tailored for smaller payloads, the X200 EV provides a cost-effective and eco-friendly vehicle alternative.

A dependable line-up

The X-Series line-up includes a 1.5-tonne single cab and a 1.3-tonne double cab that seats six – an exclusive advantage for JAC Motors in labour-intensive businesses. Powered by a proven 2.8-litre TDI engine, the X-Series outshines competitors in performance, fuel efficiency, and overall running costs. Standard features include ABS, air conditioning, a seven-year/200,000-km warranty, and increased payload capacity, helping businesses minimise total cost of ownership (TCO).

With over 60 years of truck-building expertise, JAC Motors’ three- to nine-tonne N-Trucks, meanwhile, are designed to maximise business savings through excellent fuel efficiency, durability, and low running costs. Their robust chassis supports a wide range of transport applications, ensuring round-the-clock operations, improved productivity, and strong returns on investment for fleet operators.

In June 2024, JAC Motors celebrated a major milestone, producing its 300,000th T-Series double-cab bakkie. As China’s second-largest pickup brand and a leading global exporter, JAC Motors continues to expand its T-Series range. The T6, T8, and T9 models will grow further in 2025 with the introduction of a T9 Plug-In Hybrid EV (PHEV), a T6 single cab, and additional engine options, offering more choices to meet diverse customer needs.

Technical support and parts

Beyond 24-hour roadside assistance, JAC Motors prioritises expert technical support and comprehensive after-sales service. Extensive technical training programmes ensure a superior ownership experience, enhancing customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. This unwavering commitment underscores JAC Motors’ dedication to delivering long-term value.

In response to rising demand, JAC Motors expanded its parts warehouse for the second time in two years in May 2024. Now twice its former size, the facility ensures faster order fulfilment, real-time tracking, and improved service for more than 6,000 JAC vehicles on Southern African roads.

Future of growth and innovation

With an impressive 57% year-over-year sales increase in 2024, JAC Motors has firmly established itself as a serious contender in the CV market. After seven years of sustained growth, the company continues to deliver innovative, high-quality, and value-driven products, solidifying its place as a leader in the industry.
