Fleet manager solution for small transport operators

Ctrack recently launched its Drive mobile application software aimed at small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) with fleets of 30 vehicles or less. It is suited for companies not solely focused on fleets and who may not have a dedicated fleet manager. The software is designed to assist these organisations in managing unforeseen costs and inefficiencies.

The Drive solution has all the fleet-management tools transport operators will need. The software, for example, can be viewed on multiple mobile devices, such as cell phones, tablets and laptops. Driver and vehicle location, as well as the destination, is located via GPS, which allows transport operators to provide clients with updated estimated times of arrival.

A full overview of the in-progress and scheduled tasks of the company is also visible on the software, which allows for better tracking of deliveries and job statuses. Deliveries can be scheduled in advance and assigned to a specific driver or vehicle.

The optimisation function built into the system determines the optimal route to reduce wasted time, fuel and driver energy. The Drive app highlights the areas where drivers can improve regarding behaviour and driving violations. Vehicle routes can be limited through geo-fencing. Alerts are sent via the Drive app, SMS or email when the driver breaches these pre-set limits.

The app also allows users to create service intervals of various lengths for different types of maintenance. Drivers can also report any faults with the vehicle through the app. Reports are fully customisable and easy to interpret, which can help small-business owners analyse their cost items and allow them to make better decisions. Stolen-vehicle recovery services are included in the Drive app.

“Ctrack is proud to launch this innovative solution for the SMME market at an unbeatable price. Drive is the culmination of 30 years of experience and reflects a deep understanding of the needs of our customers across the diverse fleet telematics market,” says Cobus Grove, Ctrack Global COO.

“This system grants business owners full online visibility of their company’s fleet, for improved operational efficiencies, on the move. Drive enables Ctrack clients to make split-second decisions that reduce costs from the first day of implementation,” he concludes.
